What is the hotel?
Hi all!
Today I'll start writing a little about the hotel and restaurant business.
Will cover the first general idea what the hotel and restaurant.
Times with nochlezhek eatery passed long ago.
Professionals in the field of service, hospitality and production of quality goods and services that fill the needs of people in a particular service, providing service and hospitality, and produce the goods necessary to mankind.
So what is a hotel (the hotel)?


The hotel is multifunctional, complex economic and property complex.
Property, equipment, inventory and other property intended for the provision of services and production for domestic needs of the enterprise (the hotel).

1) For temporary accommodation.
2) For a permanent residence.
Also, the two above mentioned definitions are divided into several sub-types:
1) Transit of any category of living for a brief stop.
2) For business travel, serving people who live in your business trips and business trips.
3) Hotels and recreational businesses for recreation, tourism, sightseeing, therapeutic and other purposes.
Businesses with Hospitality also divided into the collective and individual accommodation facilities.
In turn, collective funds are divided into several categories:
1) Enterprises, a hotel-type facility consisting of numbers, which exceed a certain minimum (10-15 rooms) that are grouped in categories and classes according to the list of services, Guo Stam and country standards, which have a unified leadership and provides a variety of hotel services.
The so-called hotels, motels, hotels, mini hotels, ho stele, hostels, beach, resort, recreational and other enterprises.
Companies have different types of hotel:
By the number of room stock:
1) Less than 100 rooms
2) From 100 to 300 rooms
3) More than 300 rooms
The level and quality of service, comfort: 1) Luxury 2) First Class 3) economy class.
Management:
1) Private (independent)
2) Managed and owned distribution companies.
Collective accommodation facilities also include tourist hostel, furnished rooms and apartments, and partner hotels and other establishments providing limited list of services.
Specialty placements.
Perform in addition to basic services for accommodation, or any additional specialized services or functions.
1) Health care facilities (health centers, dispensaries)
2) Recreation facilities (motels, shelters, parking, room-Dormitory and so on)
3) Conference centers, sports centers, public means of transportation (cruise ships, airplanes, trains, boats)
Land, water and air transport facilities and is adapted for accommodation facilities designed for temporary or permanent accommodation and the provision of a specified list of services.
4) Camping (sites to accommodate vans, vehicles carrying transit stop)

Individual accommodation facilities, lease:

4) The House on Wheels (commercials).

The basis for the examples in my articles will bring world-class hotels of the Marriott in Moscow.
Many years of experience and training in the Marriott Hotel gives me confidence that perhaps this is one of the top hotel chains, I've seen and that I have ever seen.
International class hotel, a complex holding company, if I may say so.
This is a big company with lots of small businesses inside.
Legally, all businesses in a big company, part of one big, perfectly smooth and well-functioning mechanism.
The hotel can run as a management company hotel chain owner, and just a management company.
Internationally, there is a complex interaction between the owners of the practice of building management company, the company owns a well-known brand (trademark) and legislator standards of hospitality, of the state.
Intricate cooperation is possible with the existence of the franchise.
The management company such as British and International hotel chain decided to open a business in Ukraine. The company is building a building contractor, specifically designed for a specific project and gives the building a long term lease or management. The Management Company is entitled to represent the brand and meet the standards and quality, some giving the right franchise for the brand (brand name), registered company, which is legally in Ukraine is carried out recruitment and so on. This is about going this way and can occur in a more simple or more complex form, depending on the composition of the project participants and the original plan of action for the establishment and opening of accommodation and catering and other enterprises.
In such an enterprise management is also multifaceted, complex and at the same time more simple.
Caught in such an institution a world-class, high standards, quality service, clearly the tasks to staff, an extensive list of services, enterprise-class suite, a guest sees a single coherent and clear body. It is in the same space, where all processes are interrelated, well-managed and well run. Needs and requirements of the guest priority. The successful future of a holding company is dependent on a priori defined high quality standards and their immediate execution at the first request of the guest.
So many important things to know and apply in practice in order to properly manage and direct the enterprise.
Years of experience, proven knowledge, the accuracy of decisions, clear and multiple actions, flexibility of mind and many other qualities necessary to show managers, owners and employees simple, that the hotel was a model and benchmark.
In future articles I will give examples to talk about the control system of international class hotels, mills catering for the hotel, a variety of departments and enterprises operating in a luxury hotel, like a single organism, and many other interesting facts, stories of personal experiences and life at work in international class hotel, spas and hotels, and important materials to help you dear readers and professionals to understand a bit more about your favorite business, hotel and restaurant business.
